Terms of Service (ToS) of Tavel GmbH
1. Scope and Provider
These Terms of Service govern the use of the mobile application „Tavel“ (hereinafter „App“) provided by:

By using the App, the user agrees to these Terms of Service.
2. Purpose of the App
The „Tavel“ App is designed to help people who want to live or work in Germany with the necessary administrative
steps.
In particular, this includes:
- Registration and user account
- Uploading and managing personal documents (e.g. visas, passport, payslips)
- Language learning features
- Referral to insurance providers, bank accounts and other services
- Support with appointments at authorities and application procedures
The App is operated by Tavel GmbH and is offered via the Android and iOS app stores.
3. Referral Services
Tavel connects users with third-party providers of financial and other services (e.g. banks, insurance companies,
lenders, tax advisors and other partners). Tavel itself is not a financial institution and does
not provide its own financial services.
In particular:
- Tavel establishes contact between users and external, independently licensed service providers.
- Financial products (e.g. accounts, loans, insurance) are offered and provided exclusively by these partners.
- Tavel does not provide investment advice, tax advice, lending, insurance underwriting or any
other regulated financial services. - Tavel does not manage bank accounts or financial accounts for users and does
not calculate its own credit scores.
Contracts for financial or other products are concluded exclusively between the user and the respective
third-party provider. Tavel is not liable for the content, performance or quality of services offered by
partner companies.

provide financial advice, products, or services directly.“
3.1 Our Partners
Important Note: All financial products are provided directly by licensed partners, not by Tavel.
As part of our intermediation services, we work with the following carefully selected partners:

Each partner operates independently and is responsible for their own services and data protection. Contracts are concluded directly between users and partners. For details on data processing by partners, please refer to their respective privacy policies (links provided above).
4. Registration and User Account
- Use of the App requires registration. Users must be at least 18 years old.
- Registration is carried out via e-mail or mobile phone number.
- Each user may only maintain one personal account.

The user account can be deleted at any time via the App. When the account is deleted, stored data is removed
in accordance with the privacy policy.
5. Services and Mediation

Tavel offers its own digital services (e.g. document management, language learning modules) as well as the
mediation of external services (e.g. insurance, banks, contacts to authorities). -
In these cases, Tavel only mediates contact between the user and the partner. A contractual relationship for
the respective service is concluded directly between the user and the partner company. - Tavel assumes no liability or warranty for the content, implementation or quality of these partner services.

There is no guarantee of success – in particular with regard to visa, residence or administrative
procedures.
6. Data Storage and Data Protection

Tavel stores users‘ personal data and documents (e.g. passport, visa, tax ID, payslip, birth certificate) on
servers located in Germany. - Data is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS.
- Only authorized employees of Tavel GmbH have access to the data.
- Data is stored until the account is deleted or consent is withdrawn.
- Further details on data processing are provided in the privacy policy.
7. Disclosure to Third Parties

In order to provide certain services, Tavel may transfer personal data to carefully selected partners (e.g.
banks, insurance companies, authorities, language schools). - Data is only disclosed with the user’s explicit consent.

Only the information required for the respective service is transmitted (e.g. documents, address, contact
details). - Data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR) have been concluded with all partners.
8. Costs and Payment Processing
- Use of the App is generally free of charge.
- Individual additional services may be offered as in-app purchases. These are clearly marked in advance.
- If paid services are used, the prices stated in the respective in-app purchase apply.
- The statutory right of withdrawal pursuant to § 355 BGB (German Civil Code) remains unaffected.
9. Liability
- Tavel is liable without limitation for damages resulting from intent or gross negligence.

In the case of simple negligence, Tavel is only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations
(cardinal obligations), limited to the typical foreseeable damage. - Liability for services provided by third parties (partner companies) is excluded.

Tavel does not guarantee success in relation to administrative procedures, visa applications or mediated
services. - The App does not replace legal advice or advice from authorities.
10. Intellectual Property
All content of the App (texts, designs, logos, software code, etc.) is protected by copyright. Reproduction,
editing or reuse is only permitted with the prior written consent of Tavel GmbH.
11. Termination and Deletion
The user may delete their account at any time directly in the App. After deletion, personal data is deleted in
accordance with the privacy policy, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
12. Communication and Notifications
- Users can contact Tavel via e-mail (contact@tavel.app) or WhatsApp.
- Tavel may inform users about relevant changes, updates or services via push notifications or e-mail.
- Advertising content or marketing offers may be displayed in the App.
13. Changes to the Terms of Service
Tavel reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service if this is necessary for objective reasons (e.g. legal
changes, extension of App functions). Changes will be communicated to the user in good time. If the user does
not object within 14 days, the changes are deemed to be accepted.
14. User-Generated Content
14.1 General
The App allows users to upload certain content, in particular:
- Profile pictures
- Personal information in the profile (e.g. „About me“ texts)
- Other content approved by Tavel
By uploading content, the user agrees to these provisions.
14.2 Responsibility of the User
The user is solely responsible for the content they upload. The user warrants that:
- They hold all necessary rights to the content,

The content does not infringe the rights of third parties (in particular copyright, trademark rights,
personality rights), - The content does not violate any statutory provisions.
14.3 Prohibited Content
The following content is expressly prohibited and will lead to immediate blocking or deletion of the account:
- Illegal content: Content that violates German or international law
- Depictions of violence: Depictions of violence, terrorism or extremist ideologies
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content: Nudity, sexual acts or suggestive depictions

Hate speech and discrimination: Content inciting hatred, violence or discrimination on the
basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality - Harassment and bullying: Content that insults, threatens or harasses other persons
- False identity: Use of images of other persons or fake profiles
- Endangerment of children or young people: Any content that endangers or exploits minors
- Fraud and misleading information: Content intended to deceive or for fraudulent purposes
- Spam and commercial content: Unwanted advertising, sales offers or spam

Protection of third parties: Photos or information about third parties without their
consent
14.4 Moderation and Control
- Tavel reserves the right to review, edit or remove uploaded content at any time.
- Review may be carried out both automatically (by technical filters) and manually (by employees).

Tavel is not obliged to proactively check all content, but will act without delay upon indications of legal
violations. - Users may report inappropriate content from other users (see 14.6).
14.5 Legal Basis
Moderation is based on:
- NetzDG (Network Enforcement Act): Handling of illegal content
- TMG § 10 (German Telemedia Act): Liability privilege as a host provider
- GDPR Art. 6(1)(f): Legitimate interest in a legally compliant platform
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines 1.2 and 5.1: Requirements for user-generated content
- Google Play Developer Policy: Guidelines on user-generated content
14.6 Reporting and Complaints Procedure

Users can report inappropriate or illegal content via:

Subject: „Report content“ with the name of the affected user and a description -
Tavel reviews all reports without delay and acts within 24 hours (for obviously illegal content) or within
7 days (for more complex cases). - The reporting user will receive feedback on the result of the review.
14.7 Sanctions
In the event of violations of these provisions, Tavel may take the following measures:
- Warning of the user
- Removal of the relevant content
- Temporary blocking of the account (3–30 days)
- Permanent deletion of the account
- Report to law enforcement authorities (in the event of serious violations)
The choice of measure is at the discretion of Tavel and depends on the severity of the violation.
14.8 Granting of Rights
By uploading content, the user grants Tavel a simple, royalty-free, worldwide right of use to the content to the
extent necessary to provide the service (e.g. display of the profile picture in the App, technical storage on
servers).
This grant of rights ends when the content or the account is deleted.
14.9 Disclaimer
- Tavel assumes no liability for content uploaded by users.
- Users are themselves liable for any infringements of the rights of third parties.
- Users indemnify Tavel against claims by third parties arising from illegal content uploaded by the user.
15. Final Provisions
German law applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods
(CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Deggendorf, Germany. Should individual provisions of these Terms of Service
be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
